QC gov't contracts private warehouse for ultra-cold vaccine storage

Quezon City has contracted a private warehouse for storing COVID-19 vaccines requiring ultra-low temperatures.

Joseph Juico, co-chair of Quezon City's Vax to Normal Task Force, said the facility can store vaccines at -70 degrees Celsius or above.

The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine requires storage at -70 degrees Celsius and will be transported from the airport to a central warehouse.

From there, vaccines will be distributed to inoculation sites across Quezon City with strict temperature monitoring throughout transport and distribution.
