DOH: Sufficient cold storage for vaccines until July

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said on Thursday that the government has sufficient cold storage facilities for COVID-19 vaccines with help from the private sector.

Vergeire noted that Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. and Health Secretary Francisco Duque inspected some of these facilities on Wednesday, confirming adequate capacity until July.

However, Duque previously stated on January 18th that additional cold storage capacity will be needed starting August due to limited current facilities.

The government is in talks with third-party logistics providers for managing the storage and distribution of vaccines from August to December.
