Palace confident Russia will share COVID-19 vaccine with PH

Malacaōang expressed confidence on Tuesday that Russia will share its potential COVID-19 vaccine with the Philippines once it becomes available.

Russian researchers have completed human trials for the vaccine candidate and expect to start final stage testing in mid-August.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said having a vaccine is crucial for returning to normal life and expressed hope that the Philippines would benefit from Russia's potential vaccine due to President Rodrigo Duterte's independent foreign policy.
