Philippines starts coordinating with international partners for COVID-19 vaccines

On Friday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) began coordinating with international partners to ensure Filipinos have access to potential coronavirus vaccines.

The DFA has initiated communication with around 36 countries worldwide and shared information with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), which chairs the Sub-Technical Working Group on COVID-19 Vaccine Clinical Trials.

While the DFA did not disclose specific foreign partners, it emphasized collaboration with vaccine developers' subsidiaries in the Philippines, engagement for clinical trials overseas, multilateral efforts, and bilateral cooperation.
