PCSO GM Robles leads flood relief in Valenzuela and Navotas

Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Mel Robles led relief efforts for flood victims in Valenzuela and Navotas on Thursday, distributing charitimba containing relief goods to affected families.

Robles reiterated his earlier directive for all PCSO branches and small-town lottery authorized agency corporations (AACs) to provide immediate assistance following President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s order.

The distribution was initially scheduled for Wednesday but was postponed due to impassable roads caused by flooding from Super Typhoon Carina and the enhanced southwest monsoon.

Various organizations and AACs have contributed to relief efforts, including Hit It Big Gaming Corporation, Pines Estate and Gaming Corp., and Caloocan AAC, among others.

The National Capital Region has been under a state of calamity since Wednesday, allowing local government units to access emergency funds quickly for assistance.

PCSO branch offices nationwide are conducting simultaneous relief drives in their respective areas.
