Rizal under lockdown starting Monday due to COVID-19

Rizal province was placed under lockdown starting Monday, April 6, due to a growing number of coronavirus cases.

As of March 29, Rizal had recorded 58 COVID-19 cases with 8 deaths; by Sunday, the total rose to 105 cases.

Cainta has the most cases at 25, followed by Antipolo and Taytay.

The lockdown began at 8 am Monday and will be in effect until lifted.

Executive Order No. 14 signed on Saturday implements border restrictions similar to those of the Luzon enhanced community quarantine.
