Lanao Sur, Iligan extend ECQ until April 30

Lanao del Sur has extended its enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) until April 30 to prevent a potential 'second wave' of COVID-19.

The province's governor, Mamintal Alonto Adiong Jr., cited rising cases in the Philippines and the need for vigilance to protect medical resources.

Iligan City, also in Lanao del Norte, extended its ECQ until April 30 with a curfew from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The city's mayor, Celso Regencia, prohibited the sale and consumption of liquor and closed all private establishments except those providing essential services.
