Eastern Visayas seeks one-month LSI ban

Eastern Visayas' Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has requested a one-month ban on locally-stranded individuals returning to the region starting September 1.

The regional task force and provincial governors unanimously approved this resolution during a joint meeting, citing full hospitals and isolation facilities as reasons for the measure.

On August 26, the same task force also recommended reverting the entire region's status to general community quarantine (GCQ) and imposing a two-week ban on LSIs starting August 28.
