Duterte approves month-long GCQ starting Sept 1

President Duterte approved a month-long community quarantine starting September 1.

Metro Manila, Bulacan, Batangas, Bacolod, and Tacloban will be under general community quarantine (GCQ), while Iligan City is under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).

The rest of the country remains under modified GCQ.

President Roque emphasized the importance of staying at home except for essential activities or work in permitted industries.
