La Mesa Dam hits spilling level due to Ulysses

As heavy rains from Typhoon Ulysses continued on Thursday, November 12, the La Mesa Dam in Quezon City hit its spilling level at 80.15 meters.

The dam began spilling into the Tullahan River by 9:30 am, prompting PAGASA to advise residents in low-lying areas of Quezon City and Valenzuela City to evacuate.

Affected areas in Quezon City include Fairview, Forest Hills Subdivision, Quirino Highway, Sta. Quiteria, and San Bartolome, while in Valenzuela, Barangay Ligon and La Huerta Subd are at risk.
