Typhoon Ulysses floods Bulacan, displaces thousands

Typhoon Ulysses triggered floods in 10 towns in Bulacan on Thursday, displacing thousands of families.

Governor Daniel Fernando reported that rescue efforts are ongoing as some residents remain trapped in their homes due to floodwaters.

The affected towns include San Miguel, Balagtas, Marilao, Bocaue, Obando, Angat, Norzagaray, Pandi, Santa Maria, and Bulakan.

Fernando noted that the flooding was exacerbated by water releases from nearby Angat and Ipo dams.

As of Thursday, over 14,500 people were evacuated across the province due to the typhoon and dam releases.
