Rain showers expected in PH due to LPA, shear line, amihan

Most areas in the Philippines are expected to experience rain showers caused by three weather systems: a low pressure area (LPA), shear line, and northeast monsoon.

The LPA is located 1,055 kilometers east of Mindanao with a slim chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within 36 hours.

Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, and Bohol will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA and shear line, posing risks for flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, northern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands, Metro Manila, rest of Luzon, and Visayas will experience light rains or isolated rain showers due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
