PAGASA monitors LPA entering PAR off Mindanao

State weather bureau PAGASA is monitoring a low-pressure area (LPA) east of Davao City that entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Monday.

The LPA has a slim chance of developing into a tropical cyclone and is expected to dissipate within 24 to 48 hours.

Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Bohol, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Aurora, and northern Quezon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of Visayas will generally have fair weather due to the northeast monsoon.
