Rain or Shine beats TNT 107-86 in PBA semis

The Rain or Shine ElastoPainters secured their first victory in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup semifinals against the TNT Tropang 5G with a score of 107-86 on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Anton Asistio led the team with 24 points, including six assists and a buzzer-beating four-point shot, turning things around in the second half after scoring only three points in the first two quarters to help Rain or Shine avoid falling into a 0-3 hole in the series.

Rain or Shine extended their lead significantly, leading by as much as 29 points during the game and outscoring TNT by 27 points in the third quarter to take control of the series which is now tied at one win each after Asistio's strong second-half performance.

Keith Datu contributed a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Caelan Tiongson added 16 points for Rain or Shine. Santi Santillan and Adrian Nocum also scored in double digits as TNT struggled without Roger Pogoy due to injury.

With Asistio's crucial performance, the Elasto Painters hope to tie the series in Game 4 on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
