Nocum scores 25 off bench, Thompson nails double-double; Rain or Shine advances

Adrian Nocum scored 25 points off the bench and Deon Thompson starred with a double-double of 34 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, three blocks, and two steals to help Rain or Shine secure a decisive 112-103 victory over Converge in their sudden-death quarterfinal clash Sunday at Ynares Center.

Rain or Shine head coach Yeng Guiao praised Nocum for his unique style and acrobatic finishes, noting that the young guard’s development as an outside shooter could lead to MVP-level performance in the future.

Thompson and Nocum fueled a 19-5 run bridging the third and fourth quarters, putting Rain or Shine ahead by double digits going into the final period.

With Game 2 won, Rain or Shine will face TNT in a best-of-seven semifinal series as they advance to the PBA Commissioner's Cup semifinals for the third straight conference.
