Thompson leads Rain or Shine to Commissioner's Cup semis

Deon Thompson led Rain or Shine to a decisive 112-103 victory over Converge on Sunday, securing the team's advancement to the PBA Commissioner's Cup semifinals.

Thompson scored a game-high 34 points along with 12 rebounds and seven assists in Game 3 of the quarterfinals, but he emphasized that his teammates were instrumental in their success.

Coach Yeng Guiao praised Thompson for his consistent performance while Thompson highlighted the contributions of Beau Belga, Andrei Caracut, and Adrian Nocum, who scored a combined 49 points.

Rain or Shine will now face second-seeded TNT in a best-of-seven semifinal series starting on Feb. 26 due to the PBA's break for Gilas Pilipinas' Fiba Asia Cup Qualifiers campaign.
