Quiambao leads men's basketball MVP race, Dela Rosa excels in women's

Kevin Quiambao of La Salle leads the statistical race in UAAP Season 87 men's basketball, with Ateneo's Kacey dela Rosa leading in the women's division.

Quiambao averages a league-best 16.4 points per game and is on track to win his second consecutive MVP award after securing 87.571 statistical points (SPs) last season.

Despite challenges such as losing key players like Evan Nelle, Quiambao continues to lead La Salle with the support of Coach Topex Robinson, who praises his leadership and ability to elevate teammates.

JD Cagulangan of UP remains second in the MVP race for men's basketball with 77 SPs, while Mike Phillips ranks third with 72.143 SPs.

Dela Rosa has turned in seven straight double-doubles, averaging an impressive 21.43 points and 14.71 rebounds per game, making her a strong contender for another MVP award.
