Quezon prepares for Typhoon Ulysses

Quezon province is preparing for Typhoon Ulysses, which may make landfall between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.

Governor Danilo Suarez stated that response teams are being adjusted due to the typhoon's changed course and forced evacuations are underway in hazard-prone areas.

The Quezon Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office held a meeting on Tuesday with concerned agencies, prepositioning relief goods for potential preemptive evacuations.

Dr. Melchor Avenilla Jr., head of the PDRRMO, urged residents to prepare emergency go-bags while ensuring strict adherence to minimum health standards amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
