QCPD confirms Echanis' death, returns body to family

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) confirmed that the remains found in an apartment in Novaliches on Monday belong to National Democratic Front consultant Randall Echanis.

Fingerprint tests verified Echanis' identity, and QCPD chief Brig. Gen. Ronnie Montejo said they are coordinating with his family for the return of his body.

Among the theories being investigated is that Echanis' companion Louie Tagapia was the intended target as he had more stab wounds than Echanis; police also consider robbery as a possible motive.

Montejo urged the public to assist in identifying and apprehending suspects to solve the case quickly.
