DOJ chief: Police should explain transfer of Echanis' remains

DOJ chief Menardo Guevarra called for an explanation from the police regarding the transfer of what were believed to be the remains of peasant leader Randall Echanis from one funeral parlor to another.

Echanis' wife identified his body at a funeral parlor but claimed that the police forcibly took it away and moved it to another location.

However, the police stated that Echanis was not among the victims of a stabbing incident in Quezon City on Monday, identifying the deceased as Manuel Santiago and Louie Tagapia.
