QC to distribute 400k food packs weekly during quarantine

Quezon City will distribute 400,000 food packs weekly during the enhanced community quarantine period.

Each pack serves a family of five and distribution began on Sunday and Monday with staff working round-the-clock.

Mayor Joy Belmonte noted that initial delays occurred due to overwhelmed suppliers but assured continuous efforts for procurement.

Belmonte also urged barangay leaders to use Quick Response Funds to buy food supplies immediately, as city-wide procurement takes time.
