Mati starts food rations March 29; Davao aids 50K families

Mati City in Davao Oriental will start food rationing on March 29 for residents affected by the community quarantine since March 19.

The city is preparing 37,000 food packs consisting of rice and canned goods to be distributed by barangay officials, with additional support from the provincial government and donations from Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

Davao City began rationing food on March 23 for 50,000 families affected by the lockdown, providing relief goods through a system monitored by city officials to ensure proper distribution and social distancing.
