PSC celebrates Paris Olympics success, focuses on future goals

The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) is celebrating its performance at the Paris Olympics but remains focused on future goals, including intensifying grassroots programs to discover future Olympians.

Chairman Dickie Bachmann highlighted the milestone achievements, such as Carlos Yulo's two gold medals and Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas' bronze medals, during a forum presented by various sports organizations.

Despite historic success, Bachmann emphasized the need to return to work, aiming to continue winning in international events, strengthen grassroots development, and improve sports facilities.

The PSC plans to provide financial assistance to national sports associations with continued government support from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Congress.

Bachmann acknowledged the difficulty of qualifying for and winning medals at the Olympics, underscoring the need for sustained effort in developing Filipino athletes.
