PSC chairman excited for Philippines' Paralympians in Paris

Philippine Sports Commission chairman Richard Bachmann expressed excitement for the country's six Paralympians ahead of the 17th Paris Paralympic Games, encouraging them to inspire others.

Bachmann arrived in Paris just before the opening ceremony and participated in a festive evening event with athletes from around the world.

The PSC funded a training camp in Nimes, France starting Aug. 11 to help the athletes acclimate to conditions and adjust their body clocks for cooler Parisian weather.

Agustina Bantiloc will compete on Thursday at 1 p.m. local time (7 p.m. Manila time) in the women's individual compound open ranking round of archery, aiming to advance to the knockout rounds.

Bachmann emphasized that the Filipino athletes represent a dream for an inclusive sporting community and urged them to 'Laban! PARA sa bayan!'
