DILG: Metro aid distro may start Aug. 6

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced that cash aid distribution for Metro Manila residents affected by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) may start on August 6.

PHP13.1 billion will be distributed to around 10.7 million residents, with PHP1,000 per person or a maximum of PHP4,000 per family.

The Presidential Spokesperson clarified that the funds will come from government savings as allowed by Administrative Order No. 41 signed in May.
