Police seize 1,300 grams of shabu worth P8.8M and arrest two suspects in Makati

Police confiscated 1,300 grams of shabu worth P8.8 million and arrested two suspects in a buy-bust operation at a condominium in Makati City on Wednesday, February 19.

The suspects sold the alleged crystal meth to a police poseur buyer inside a vacuum-sealed pack labeled 'freeze-dried durian'.

Upon arrest, the suspects also yielded P8.8 million worth of shabu and other drug paraphernalia.

NCRPO Director Brig. Gen. Anthony A. Aberin commended the community's vigilance for the success of the operation, which hits the core of the illegal drug supply in Makati and neighboring areas.

The arrested suspects are currently in police custody facing serious charges under Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
