Police arrest two drug suspects, seize P2.8M worth shabu

On Sunday, February 23, anti-narcotics agents arrested a high-value target in Sulu and seized P6.8 million worth of suspected shabu.

In separate operations on Monday, February 25, police in Taguig arrested a 43-year-old man identified as alias Lito after he sold illegal drugs to an undercover officer during a buy-bust operation, while authorities also arrested another suspect in Sto. Tomas, Pampanga who possessed P1.7 million worth of shabu.

The suspects did not resist arrest and were held at detention facilities awaiting prosecution under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Police seized three plastic sachets containing 15.3 grams of shabu valued at P104,040 from Lito and confiscated over 255 grams of suspected shabu in Sto. Tomas.

The police are preparing complaints against both suspects for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 and will file them before the respective prosecutor's offices.
