PNP PDEG arrests 6 drug suspects, seizes PHP802M worth of shabu in Cavite, Rizal

On Monday, Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) operatives arrested two drug suspects and seized PHP748 million worth of suspected shabu in Imus City, Cavite province.

The same day, PDEG also nabbed an alleged high-value target named 'Abie', seizing PHP27.2 million worth of shabu from him during a sting operation in Barangay Buhay na Tubig in Imus City at about 9:58 p.m.

On Wednesday night, police officers arrested four high-value individuals (HVI) and seized over PHP6.8 million worth of shabu in a separate sting operation in Rizal province, according to PDEG chief Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta.

The suspects identified as 'Oski', 'Verly', 'Sittie', and 'Jesus' were seized with 1.01 kg of shabu and other non-drug evidence during the operation in Sitio Malabon, Barangay San Juan in Taytay town.

Both operations were monitored by a village councilor and a media representative using body-worn cameras (BWC) and an alternative recording device to ensure transparency.
