POEA coordinates with LGUs for OFWs' booster shots

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) is coordinating with local government units and agencies to encourage overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to get their COVID-19 booster shots before deployment.

On Thursday, POEA administrator Bernard Olalia said the agency will release a labor advisory reminding OFWs who are set to be deployed that they can already receive boosters.

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) approved on Saturday the administration of booster shots for fully vaccinated OFWs deploying within four months.
