Cities begin administering COVID-19 booster shots to healthcare workers

Iloilo City began administering booster doses of COVID-19 vaccines to healthcare workers on Thursday, while the province awaits guidelines.

The city government plans to provide vaccines to hospitals and health centers to expedite the rollout.

As of Nov. 16, Iloilo City has fully vaccinated 97.61% of its eligible population and 109.33% have received at least one dose.

In Manila, Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan announced that healthcare workers will start receiving booster shots on Friday.

The city government has enough vaccine supply for the administration of booster doses in six district hospitals.
