PNP: Unvaxxed police to do low-risk duties

PNP Chief Dionardo Carlos announced on Tuesday that unvaccinated police personnel will be reassigned to low-risk duties during the pandemic.

Carlos stated that these individuals would not be deployed for fieldwork but instead assigned administrative tasks with limited public interaction.

As of December 7, only 1,771 or 0.79% of PNP personnel remain unvaccinated, with 937 citing valid reasons such as medical conditions and religious beliefs.

The PNP aims to draft guidelines for its 'no jab, no duty' policy in the coming days to ensure full deployment during the holiday season.
