PNP reports 2,407 COVID-19 cases

As of Friday, August 7, the number of Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel infected with COVID-19 reached 2,407, with 60 new cases reported.

The total recoveries increased to 1,428 and the death toll remained at 11.

The PNP is monitoring 2,379 suspected cases and 893 probable cases.

PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac noted that most infected personnel are asymptomatic and must observe a 14-day quarantine followed by rest before returning to duty.
