Philippines reaches 100 certified COVID-19 testing labs

As of August 6, the Philippines has 100 laboratories licensed to conduct independent testing for COVID-19.

The country now has 76 accredited polymerase chain reaction facilities and 24 GeneXpert laboratories.

Additionally, there are 88 other laboratories in various stages of accreditation, with 86 percent at Stage 3 or above.

These labs have tested over 1.5 million individuals as of August 5, surpassing the government's goal to test two million Filipinos by August.
