PNP reports 21.4K recoveries, 64 deaths from COVID-19

As of Tuesday, May 25, the Philippine National Police (PNP) reported a total recovery tally of 21,399 police officers from COVID-19, with an additional 99 recoveries.

The PNP's overall recovery rate stands at 93 percent out of 23,013 infections since the pandemic began.

On the same day, 170 new cases were reported among PNP personnel, increasing active cases to 1,550 or about 6.7% of total cases.

One more police officer died from COVID-19 on May 24 in Zamboanga, raising the death toll to 64.

As of Saturday, May 22, the PNP's total case count had risen to 22,754 with 115 new cases reported that day and recoveries increasing to 21,208.

The number of police personnel willing to get vaccinated against COVID-19 is at 84%, while 13,000 have been inoculated so far.
