PH reaches 1M fully vaccinated amid slow rollout

As of May 25, the Philippines has fully vaccinated over one million individuals against COVID-19 since launching its mass vaccination campaign on March 1.

Despite reaching this milestone, the country remains second to last in Southeast Asia in terms of percentage of population vaccinated.

The DOH reported that a total of 1,029,061 people have received both doses of a vaccine, while 3,466,314 individuals have received at least one dose.

Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje noted that the Philippines has administered 4,495,375 doses in 1,381 active vaccination sites nationwide with a seven-day moving average of daily vaccinated individuals reaching 170,000.
