41% of NCR residents fully vaccinated vs. COVID-19

As of Thursday, Aug. 19, 41% of eligible NCR residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Vince Dizon, deputy chief implementer of the National Task Force Against COVID-19, said over 3.2 million vaccine doses have been administered in Metro Manila this month.

Dizon expressed confidence that the target inoculation rate of 50% for NCR would be achieved by Aug. 31.

The DOH reported a total of 29,127,240 doses administered nationwide as of Aug. 18, with over 12.87 million fully vaccinated Filipinos.

Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje noted that about 60,000 COVID-19 tests were conducted daily from Aug. 11 to 17.
