PNP aims full vaccination by year-end, death toll rises to 112

As of Friday, nearly 58% or 131,326 Philippine National Police personnel are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

About 36% or 80,809 police officers have received their first dose, with only around 5% or 10,506 yet to be vaccinated.

The PNP aims for all its 221,000 personnel to be fully vaccinated by the end of the year.

On Thursday, two more police officers died from COVID-19, bringing the total death toll to 112 with 37,734 cases reported.

At least 35,010 have recovered while 2,612 are active cases; PNP chief Eleazar ordered monitoring of facilities and equipment for a shortage-free response.
