PITX expects over two million Holy Week passengers

The Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) is expecting over two million passengers for Holy Week 2025.

Since April 9, PITX has been handling around 165,000 passengers daily and expects the number to surge by Sunday, April 13.

Passenger numbers are expected to reach 2.5 million from April 9 until Wednesday after Easter Sunday, with a dip on Monday followed by an increase on Holy Wednesday and Thursday.

According to reports, many buses heading to Bicol and Cubao stations are already fully booked, causing delays and forcing some travelers to postpone their trips or remain at the terminal until they can secure seats.

PITX spokesperson Kolyn Calbasa assured that despite advanced bookings, there are still available trips as bus companies have added more units to address the high demand.

Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon reminded terminal operators to maintain clean and well-functioning facilities and warned of possible suspensions or closures for those failing to meet standards.
