PHL logs 15,314 new COVID cases, daily average up by 7%

The Philippines recorded 15,314 new COVID-19 cases from October 10 to 16, marking a 7% increase over the previous week.

The daily average of new cases rose to 2,188 per day compared to 2,048 in the earlier period.

Additionally, 251 deaths were verified during this time, with 33 occurring between October 3 and 16.

Four severe or critical cases were also reported, bringing the total active severe cases to 690.

ICU bed utilization increased slightly from 24.3% to 25%, while non-ICU beds saw a slight decrease in occupancy rate from 27.2% to 26.8%.
