OFWs sell blood for P6,600 in Saudi amid pandemic

Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Saudi Arabia have reportedly resorted to selling their blood for around P6,600 after losing their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ronnie, an OFW who lost his job at a closed restaurant, was one of 50 Filipinos who sold their blood to buy food during a three-month lockdown.

Malacañang announced that the labor attaché in Saudi Arabia will investigate these reports and ensure aid reaches stranded OFWs who have lost their jobs.
