Philippines plans Feb. 14 nationwide kids' vax day

The Philippines is planning a nationwide rollout of pediatric COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 5 to 11 on February 14.

Pediatricians assure parents that the vaccines are safe and effective, with no serious adverse events reported during trials.

Around 780,000 doses have arrived, with 1.5 million more expected next week.

The initial rollout was postponed from February 4 to February 7 due to logistical challenges.

Vaccination sites in Metro Manila, Region 3, and Region 4 will be expanded for the pilot run starting on Monday.
