PH logs 1,494 new COVID-19 cases, total exceeds 41K

The Philippines recorded 1,494 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, bringing the total number of infections to 41,830.

Of these new cases, 403 are fresh and 1,091 are late cases reported four days ago or more.

There were 380 recoveries and 10 deaths added to the totals on Saturday.

Among the fresh cases, 180 came from Metro Manila, 90 from Region 7, and 133 from other areas.

Late cases included 499 from Metro Manila, 146 from Region 7, and 434 from various locations across the country.
