17 Lapu-Lapu hospital workers, 17 Mandaue police test positive for coronavirus

Seventeen hospital workers from Lapu-Lapu City District Hospital tested positive for the coronavirus on Thursday, July 2.

The city also reported an additional 71 confirmed cases, with 17 being frontliners who are nurses and doctors.

Mayor Junard Chan advised the public to cooperate with local government efforts to prevent further spread of the virus.

Meanwhile, in Mandaue City, seventeen police personnel from the Mandaue City Police Office tested positive for the coronavirus on June 29.

Of these, three were old cases and fourteen were new cases identified through a swab test conducted on June 26.

The affected officers are currently isolated at the Mandaue City Isolation Facility with their health stable.
