Pinoy dies of COVID-19 in Oman; nine others infected

A Filipino has died and nine others are undergoing treatment for COVID-19 in Oman.

Ambassador Narciso Castañeda reported that the deceased had a severe case but five out of the nine infected Filipinos have been moved from ICU to better condition.

The ambassador noted that Filipino workers' conditions are generally better compared to other foreign workers due to less crowded living conditions.

The Philippine government has provided financial assistance to 6,700 displaced Filipino workers in Oman and is preparing for further repatriation efforts.
