Philippines logs 2,141 new COVID-19 cases

The Philippines recorded 2,141 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, September 15, bringing the total active cases to 24,843.

Total recoveries increased to 3,826,246 while the death toll rose to 62,447 with 31 new fatalities.

Metro Manila had the highest number of infections in the last two weeks with 9,571 cases.

The country's bed occupancy rate remained at low risk with 27.5 percent, indicating that out of the total 28,646 hospital beds nationwide, only 7,876 are occupied while 20,770 remain vacant.
