Philippines COVID-19 positivity rate hits 8.5%

The COVID-19 positivity rate in the Philippines reached 8.5% on Wednesday, according to OCTA Research.

OCTA fellow Guido David reported 382 new cases and projected between 600 to 700 new cases for Thursday.

As of April 15, NCR's positivity rate increased to 7.2%, up from 6.5% the previous week.

High positivity rates were observed in Camarines Sur (21.1%), Misamis Oriental (22.7%), and Rizal (20.2%).

Several provinces showed increasing positivity rates, including Benguet, Bulacan, Cavite, Cebu, Laguna, Pampanga, Pangasinan, and Zamboanga del Sur.
