DOH: PH logs 2,386 new COVID cases, 20 deaths in past week

The Department of Health recorded 2,386 new COVID-19 cases in the Philippines from April 10 to 16, marking a 23% increase from the previous week.

Of these cases, 17 were severe or critical, and there were 356 active severe or critical admissions as of Sunday.

The DOH also verified 20 more deaths, none of which occurred in the last two weeks but rather were backlogs reported since January 2021.

ICU bed utilization was at 12.3%, while non-ICU beds had a 17.4% occupancy rate.
