Philippines coronavirus cases rise to 3,246, deaths hit 152

The number of coronavirus cases in the Philippines rose to 3,246 as of Sunday, April 5.

Eight more deaths were reported, bringing the total death toll to 152.

Seventy new patients have been tested and seven recovered, increasing the recovery count to 64.

The DOH confirmed 19,585 individuals had been tested for COVID-19 as of Sunday, with 83% testing negative.

Health authorities are considering extending the Luzon-wide quarantine beyond April 12 to curb further spread.
