Philippine team swept by Iran, drops to battle for 7th

The Philippine women's volleyball team suffered a sweep loss to Iran in the AVC Challenge Cup on Saturday, June 24, dropping them to compete for seventh place.

In the classification round match, the Filipinas were outplayed by Iran with set scores of 25-20, 25-13, and 25-16.

Despite a brief resurgence in the third set where they erased an early deficit and briefly led at 14-13, Iran quickly regained control and sealed the victory with an 8-0 run.
