Philippine women's volleyball team loses to Australia, out of AVC Challenge Cup semis

The Philippine women's volleyball team lost to Australia in four sets (18-25, 22-25, 25-21, 20-25) on Friday, June 23, ending their hopes of reaching the semifinals at the AVC Challenge Cup for Women in Indonesia.

Despite a strong third set comeback led by Faith Nisperos and Shaya Adorador, the team could not sustain the momentum and faltered in the fourth set.

The loss leaves the Philippines with a 1-2 record in Pool E, eliminating them from contention for the semifinals.
